Questions answered

Everything you need to know before you apply.

If your question isn't here, you're welcome to send Katharine a WhatsApp — she reads them personally.

Does my age matter?

Age is a factor in fertility for both men and women, and we won't pretend otherwise. But being accepted by your IVF clinic is the only eligibility that matters here — if they've said yes, so have we.

If anything, this programme matters more after 40, when preparation becomes less optional and more essential. And if you've been turned away by a clinic, Mama Be offers programmes designed specifically for that situation too.

I have poor fertility test results or a diagnosed condition. Can I still join?

Yes. If your clinic has accepted you for IVF, you're eligible.

And if you've been given difficult news about your results or conditions, that's exactly what Mama Be specialises in — working with where you are, not against it, to give you the strongest possible foundation going in.

My IVF clinic told me I don't need to prepare. Why should I enrol?

Your clinic prepares the procedure. This programme prepares you.

IVF works with the body you bring to it — your stress levels, your nutrition, your nervous system, your mindset. No clinic has the time to cover all of that. Think of it like sitting an important exam: the process gets you a seat in the room, but preparation is what gets you the result.

Do I need to start at least 6 weeks before my IVF treatment?

Yes — a minimum of 6 weeks before your treatment begins is strongly recommended to give the programme time to work. The earlier you start, the more your body benefits.

How much time do I need each week?

One session per week, 90 minutes each. The programme is designed around your real life — not a list of demands on top of an already full schedule.

Are sessions recorded?

Yes. Life happens, and we'd rather you catch a recording than miss the content entirely. That said, attending live makes a real difference — the group dynamic and real-time support aren't something a recording fully replaces.

Your privacy is fully protected and consent is always obtained before any recording takes place.

Is there a payment plan?

The programme runs as a live timed cohort, which means sessions can't be paused or revisited if missed. Paying in full upfront reflects that commitment — and honestly, it's part of what makes it work.

How does the cost break down?

The programme is £1,499 in total, with 3 hours of live content each week across 6 weeks — which works out to around £83 per hour of direct coaching with Katharine, plus a WhatsApp group, personal recommendations, and lifetime community access.

Set against the full cost of an IVF cycle, this is one of the smaller line items — and one of the few where the return is directly in your hands.

What's the difference between The IVF Coach and Mama Be?

The IVF Coach is a 6-week group programme — designed for women preparing for IVF (or recovering from a cycle that didn't work) who want to prepare properly, with others in the same moment.

Mama Be is Katharine's private, one-to-one practice in Marlow — for deeper, longer-term work with complex fertility conditions. If your situation calls for something more personalised and intensive, Mama Be may be a better fit.

Can my partner be involved?

Yes — partner inclusion is built into the programme through the Papa Be guidance in week 5. Sperm health, shared responsibility, and the emotional strain IVF places on a relationship are all addressed. Fertility is rarely just one person's story.

When does the next cohort start?

The next cohort starts 22 July 2026. Places are limited (5–10 women per cohort), so if you're considering applying, sooner is better.

Exact cohort dates and availability are confirmed during your Care Concierge call.

I'm nervous about applying. Is that normal?

Completely. Most women who reach this point have already been through a lot — and putting yourself forward for something new takes courage, especially when fertility has already asked so much of you.

Applying doesn't commit you to anything financially. It's just the first step so Katharine can understand where you are. You can also watch the short video on the Apply page before you write a word.
